Grandview Gold Inc. Grandview is pleased to report that it has received the first assay results from 1,872 meters drilled over 12 holes on the Rocky Ridge gold property in the Lac du Bonnet Mining District in Manitoba, and that the 2006 drilling program is now complete. Initial assay results demonstrate favorable intercepts at depths of less than 350 feet and help the Company test the extent of known gold zones and wall rock mineralization.
The 2006 drill program was designed to test 3 zones of mineralization identified in historical assessment file reports for the property, the "A" zone, "East" zone and the "B" zone. The "A" zone was tested for a strike of 200m with 8 holes (RR-06-01 to 07 plus 12), The East zone, located 500m east of the "A" zone was tested over a 150m strike by three holes (RR-06-08 to 10) and the "B" zone, located 450 west of the "A" zone was tested by a single hole (RR-06-11).
The early results from holes drilled on the "A" zone identify anomalous gold over variable widths and associated with disseminated and fracture controlled pyrite, hosted in granodiorite.
Results from holes RR-06-01, RR-06-02, RR-06-03, RR-06-05 and RR-06-06 have been received and the highest anomalies are as follows.
