Natural gas and oil explorer Ultra Petroleum Corp. said Tuesday its total proved reserves grew 18 percent from the end of 2005.
The company said it had 2.39 trillion cubic feet of gas equivalent as of Dec. 31, up from the 2.02 trillion it reported at the end of 2005.
Ultra Petroleum's proved reserves include 2.26 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 21.8 million barrels of oil.
Ultra Petroleum shares fell 40 cents to $50.57 in after-hours activity after dropping 61 cents to close at $50.97 on the American Stock Exchange.
